NATO and the Warsaw Pact

NATO is a group of countries in North America and Europe that formed an alliance with one another. If one NATO country was attacked, all NATO countries would come to that countries aid to help them. This also allowed Russia to recover after WWII. The Soviets were becoming an increasing threat towards the NATO. The military of the Soviets were becoming just as powerful as the Western Powers. This made many Europeans members start to doubt weather the U.S. would defend them if they were attacked by the soviets. As the U.S. was fighting a war in Vietnam, Europeans were afraid that the soviets were building up their military force. NATO managed to prevent getting attacked by the soviets although communist governments were forming in the alliances.

The Soviet Union and its satellite countries formed a organization of their own called the Warsaw Pact. This was created in response to the NATO. Warsaw was a attempt to strengthen the soviet's control over satellite countries. This was a organization where all the communist countries united. Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and the Soviet Union made up the Warsaw pact. East Germany got out of the pact to join West Germany and unite once again. The USSR started to withdraw troops to aid other countries part of the Warsaw pact. With only six countries left in the Warsaw pact, the organization soon decided to disband. the three NATO links below. Film Lesson:"Schindler List"

schindler's List illustrated the holocaust because it showed everything that had happened such as the liquidation,labor camp and Auschwitz.I thought the most powerful scene was Auschwitz because it showed lots of Jews getting burnt and shot.I thought it was also crazy how instead of snow coming down it was really the ashes of the Jews.It was also very interesting how they used to cut every ones hair to use it for cloth and stuff.

I think the image of them burning people will probably not leave me because its so crazy how the Germans just burn all those people and not even care.I think another image that stood with me is all the sick people that were all cramped in those carts and when Schindler helps them out by giving them water with the fire hoes.It had stood with me cause it showed that at least there was one person that had cared for them and didn't treat them like experiment.I think people getting shoot in the head for no reason will stay with me cause it shows how cruel people were during the war.

I thought that Schindler's List was a better movie as a viewer because it showed much more glory.I thought it had also showed more things such as the liquidation and some of the labor camps and the ghettos.

After more than three centuries of high achievement.Ataturk resolved to lead his country out of the crumbling past into a brave new future.Ataturk introduced many reforms such as european hats replace the fez.Women stopped wearing the veil and otherd citizens took surname.As result of Ataturk reforms it was a unlike score of other countries has fully secular institutions.Many people thank Mustafa becoused of his great job of introduced to the world such nice jobs for 15 years.

Mohandas Karamachand Gandhi also known as Mahatma Gandhi.Gandhi was born octuber 2,1869 in Porbandar.Gandhi was raised in a very conservatie family.He was educated at University College in london.1891 Gandhi returned to india to attempted to establish a law in Bombay but it was not much success.Gandhi found himself treated as a inferior race.Gandhi never wanted to fight with the britain event thought the britain make there life impossible.what he had done was that he instead of using phycical force against the british empire they used the tactic to use it in a form of menatal kind such as not fighting back or to make the british empire look bad . what he has done was many things such as to stop buying their product such as the following salt clothe taxes ect many kinds of tactics were made to have their own independece from great britan . at the age of 6? he had made his way to produce his own kind of salt . I really love learning and see the film i would love people to watch the film couse it would teach you alot of things.

The Treaty of Versailles (ended WWI)

The Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919. The treaty required Germany to accept that they were responsible for the war and have to give up land military and the economy. I think the Treaty of Versailles was fair because it prevented Germany from spending time on wars. i also believe the treaty led to the rise of Hitler because it gave him the strength to rise up and "defend" his people.
